Our cultures and traditions are different, but we are one

Shashi and Kei Shashi and Kei

We met in Goa for the first time. I’m an Indian and she, a Japanese. She was supposed to leave for Germany after Goa but decided better and stayed back. Different cultures brought us together. And even before we knew it, we were in love. She doesn’t know Hindi. A little, maybe. It’s been over a year since we’re in a relationship and we’re deciding that we want more. But, there are many challenges. Language is a barrier. Different cultures and traditions are a hindrance. I come from a conservative, traditional Indian family. For them, accepting a foreigner would be the biggest challenge.

But we know we’ll overcome them. Our love will!
